College football has been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks, with a number of top teams losing. With all of these top teams losing, it opens the door for teams that were once ruled out of the College Football Playoff.
No. 14 Michigan has officially bounced back after its loss to Penn State, and they will be on the road on Saturday taking on the Maryland Terrapins. Maryland has a strong offense but has been struggling in conference play.
We will help you break down the matchup here and preview the game before Saturday so you can make your best bets.
Michigan at Maryland Game Overview
Michigan is fresh off a dominating home performance against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last weekend. Notre Dame could not get any kind of offense going against the Wolverines defense and the nasty weather in the Big House.
By the fourth quarter of that game, Michigan had a chance to let its backup players get some experience and reps. Zach Charbonnet looked fantastic, leading the Michigan backfield with two rushing touchdowns.
The question still has to be asked, Is Michigan actually good? Or, was Notre Dame just bad?
I think the answer shares a little bit of both, and the Wolverines are actually in a good position here to potentially make a run at the College Football Playoff.
But that is enough about Michigan. On the other side, we will be looking at Maryland, which is struggling as of late after a strong start to its season. The Terrapins have lost four of their last five, and the once prolific offense has struggled to find points in the recent weeks.
I do not think that the passing game will stand up in this game for Maryland, and they will have to control the clock with their rushing if they want any chance.
But it is going to be an uphill battle no matter what, and our friends at BetAnySports agree with me, favoring Michigan in this matchup on the road at -20. The Wolverines defense is sound and has locked up way stronger offenses than the Terrapins boast.
I think the win over Notre Dame will serve as a turning point to save the Wolverines season.

I don’t think there is any upset potential in this game. Michigan is the favorite by nearly three touchdowns, and there is no reason to pick against them. Take Michigan, and don’t look back.
